Aim and scope:
The overall aim of the conference is to explore perspectives on multimodality, practice and mediation to open up theoretical, methodological and practical questions and debate. The conference will be of interest to research students, researchers and academics from a variety of disciplines including anthropology, business, communication, computing, design, education, linguistics, psychology, semiotics, and sociology. Papers on multimodality and practice or mediation are preferred, but papers on topics of new technologies, workplaces, identity, time, theory and method from all perspectives of multimodality are welcome.

The Multimodal Research Centre in connection with the Creative Industries Conference 2010 invites the submission of abstracts of no more than 300 words.
